Her life story unfolds against the vibrant backdrop of her rich heritage, rooted in the heart of Mexico City. Raised by an Austrian hotelier father and a Mexican mother, Jessica’s upbringing was a tapestry of influences that shaped her destiny. As a young girl, she was exposed to the elegance of rituals through her father’s contemplative gatherings and the world of high design and sophisticated style through her mother’s Vogue magazines and luxury shopping adventures on the storied Rue Saint-Honore in Paris.
Life took a poignant turn when Jessica’s father’s untimely passing marked her teenage years with sorrow and challenge. Yet, from these difficulties, she forged strength of character, unwavering perseverance, and a profound appreciation for the present moment and the meaning it holds.
Jessica’s journey into the world of fashion was ignited at the age of 14 when she was discovered as a runway model by Hubert de Givenchy. This pivotal moment set the stage for a remarkable career in retail, where she ascended to directorship positions at the iconic Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. Her tenure also included managing luxury boutiques for Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino, and Gianni Versace.
Life had more lessons in store for Jessica. A challenging mental illness that her son faced brought her face-to-face with the incredible power of the human mind and its potential for healing through contemplative practice. Recognizing the transformative impact on her family’s life, she was inspired to infuse these profound insights into the essence of BuDhaGirl®, shaping it into a platform and products dedicated to nurturing well-being. With BuDhaGirl®, she brought to life a unique formula that became synonymous with her brand–Mindful Glamour®.
Another transformative encounter–this time during her travels in Thailand set the stage for one of her most renowned creations—the All Weather Bangles®. Thai monks gifted her with exquisite golden bangles in exchange for alms, igniting a spark of gratitude and wonder in her heart. What if women could merge fashion, ritual, and gratitude seamlessly into their daily lives? BuDhaGirl® All Weather Bangles® was born from this very vision—a symbol of mindful living that transcends fashion, embodying the essence of gratitude and grace.
